This 1976 Mercedes 416 Unimog is a rare factory cabrio version that has been restored to a very high level from an original rust free truck. The truck is equipped with the desirable 5.7L Diesel motor and disc brakes, and a 6 speed transmission. These trucks have an great air locking 4wd system that allows them to be shifted in and out of 4wd with just a twist of a switch.The truck is originally believed to be a danish army vehicle, and is fitted with a time card clocking system as well as down-facing night time running lights that illuminate just the ground in front of the front tires for nighttime recon missions.

The truck wears a very well executed restoration and runs and drives extremely well. It has only 1289 hours and 70148 km's (43600 miles) on the speedo. Truck is equipped with a brand new Brazilian Ipe (ironwood) bed floor and the three bed sides that will drop down or can be removed, to make a flatbed that measures 119"X 80". A brand new custom-made German Haartz cloth soft top was just fitted. The truck is completely rust free and wears a fresh and nicely executed paintjob. It can be folded down or removed completely. Door glass can be removed as well, and the windshield can be folded down onto the hood. All glass is in excellent condition. Has a factory roll bar, new mirrors, front side lights, new seat covers, two new batteries, new heater, new clutch slave cyl., plus a host of other parts have been rebuilt or replaced. Inside of cab has Linex bed liner thru out, so you can just hose out the inside with no worries.

The truck sits on 14.5 Continental MPT80 tires with about 65% tread left. This is the perfect "Bug out" truck as it will run on Diesel, home heating oil, Bio-diesel, and WVO and gets about 15MPG. Will pull 20 tons and is set up for trailers with air brakes. There are about 150 different attachments made for these trucks, from snow plows blowers, brooms, backhoes, front loaders, man lift, cranes, ect, ect. 

These trucks will do a 60º up and down slope and a 38º side slope. Has a 32" fording depth, 18" bottom of diff. ground clearance. Top speed right now is about 60 MPH, but with different gearing and tires you can get the truck up to 75MPH.
