1976 Honda CB750 Cafe Racer
Beautiful Restored Bike, $4500 invested in Restoration, Mechanic Owned
This 1976 Honda CB750 Cafe Racer was restored and set up as a mild cafe racer over the past few years by its previous owner, a lifelong professional auto and motorcycle mechanic. The euro-style bars make for a great look and are more comfortable than clip-ons or clubmans. The bike was taken down to the frame, which was stripped and given a fresh coat of paint. Then the rest of the bike was gone through. The chassis and swing arm were given new bearings and lubed. Then the motor was checked for compression and oil-tightness. Not needing any internal work, the oil in the motor and oil filter were changed and the motor was polished and put back in the frame. The carbs were rebuilt, and synced with new jets, new spark plugs and wires, and fresh points/condensor. The bike was fitted with new pod-style air filters. The tank was painted black and lined for modern gas. The rear fender was bobbed and a lucas style tail light was added. The turn signal stalks were taken off the front and the fronts used on the back, keeping the stock size but letting them hug the bike closer. A new throttle tube and two new grips were added, along with control new cables. The tach was removed for a cleaner look but is included with the sale. The bike was given a new chain, as well as new tires (with only a few hundred miles on them since restoration), and excel rims. The bike was fitted with a Corbin seat, which makes it a comfortable rider for longer trips.
The bike was taken on several trips of over 100 miles each after restoration, ensuring that it was properly sorted out. This is a great opportunity to purchase a CB750 that has been professionally restored and set up. The bike has a nice balance between good looks and riding comfort. Coupled with Honda reliability, this is a very user-friendly and rideable classic.
The bike, as with all my bikes, has a clean and clear title transferred properly through my dealership.
