1975 Honda CB550 Supersport
Original "Shiny Orange" Paint, Fresh Tune Up, Brand New Avon Roadriders
This 1975 CB550 Supersport is an excellent original bike that has been cleaned up with smaller signals and tail light and clubman bars. The best thing about the bike is the paint, which is the factory color called “shiny orange.” It is a rare color in excellent shape. We were told by the previous owner (who was the 3rd owner) that the paint is original, and in our opinion, it does not look like a repaint.
The bike has been fitted with smaller signals, a smaller lucas style taillight, clubman bars and a saddlemen seat. We have had our mechanic, NYCs foremost Honda expert (featured on Cafe Racer TV) go through the carbs, and the bike has a strong battery and a brand new set of Avon road riders (not pictured.) We also fitted a mac muffler for the aging factory 4-1 supersport exhaust.
It is an excellent running and riding bike. There is some pitting in the wheels and a small scuff on the stator cover. The bike is super clean and ready to be enjoyed. We have just detailed the bike, buffing out the paint and polishing the motor. The tach reads a bit low.
