1975 BMW R90S

Same Owner since 1988, Completely Fresh $2000 Service by BMW Expert

We bought this beautiful Silver Smoke R90S from an enthusiast in Ohio who had two of them and had owned this one since 1988. He hadn't run the bike for about 5 years when we bought it, but he had drained all fluids and dry stored it properly. We took it to our BMW expert and had him fully service and go through the bike. The result is an excellent running and riding bike that is fully dialed in and has just been fully detailed as well. Here is a list of the work that was done:

New center stand, new battery, rebuilt front forks with new seals and oil, new turn signals and brackets (the bike had a giant fairing on it before), mount and balance new front and rear tires (continentals in stock size), change engine oil and filter, install new shifter seal on transmission, change gearbox fluid, new fuel screens and hose ends and fuel line, clean up wiring, fuses and headlight, turn signals, horn wires and headlight wires, parking bulb wires, install new headlight (remnants from fairing conversion.) Install seat hoop and seat brackets, install new brake master cylinder and new front brake lines (much better stopping power than any other R90s I've ridden.) Repair wiring for gauges, install correct R90s fairing and windshield, new headlight seal in fairing, new fuel, cleaned spark plugs and road test.

I have all the receipts from Max BMW and my mechanic for the above work. The bike has very nice paint, but there is one spot on the right side of the rear cowl behind the seat where some of the clear has peeled off (pictured) and there is one small chip on the tank (pictured.) This is an excellent R90s that just needs to be ridden and enjoyed. Comes with tools and its original manual.
