1974 Honda CB450

841 Original Miles, One Owner 1974-2011, Near Showroom Condition, Runs and Rides As New

This 1974 Honda CB450 was purchased new in Indiana by the original owner in 1974 and only ridden for the first year. He was too short for the bike and just stored the bike in his garage for the next 39 years. The bike was then purchased by his friend a few years ago and he undertook a 2 year process of cleaning the bike and getting it road ready in every way.

All surfaces were cleaned and polished, but nothing was repainted or recoated. The tank and sidecovers are 100% original paint and essentially perfect showroom condition. The master cylinder was rebuilt, two new front brake hoses were installed, the fuel tank was flushed, carbs cleaned, a new battery and new plugs installed, and the bike was given all new fluids.

The bike still wears its original inspection sticker, all factory stickers and original license plate. There is no fading on the speedometer or tach, because the bike was stored inside out of daylight for nearly 40 years. It is one of the most incredible original pieces we have ever seen, a time warp back to 1974. The bike looks and rides essentially exactly as it did when it rolled off the showroom floor.
