1970 Honda CB175
3KM, Original Tires, Original Bill of Sale from Tokyo
This 1970 Honda CB175 is a recent garage-find that appears to have 3km from new (1.8mi). The bike is fresh out of long term storage and still has its original bill of sale from Curly’s Honda, Yokota Air Base, Gate Number 1, Tokyo. The bike also comes with a California “application for registration of non-resident vehicle,” which was never filled out. It appears the bike was never registered for road use. The bike currently has no fluids and it appears there haven't been fluids in it for a very long time.
There are interesting original details everywhere: a small sticker on the left side of the swingarm in Japanese, 4 original keys, the original plastic cover on the clutch lever, the original yokohama tires, original stickers on the rear shocks, an original sticker on the steering damper. According to the previous owner the bike was stored in a temperature controlled environment since 1970.
The bike is in excellent condition, but does show its age in some places, most notably the front of seat. Please see photos. The frame shows a bit of oxidation in places and has a few touchups, the front forks have a few chips, etc.
I would imagine this is one of the lowest mileage CB175s in the world. Call with any questions!
